My poor Woodies!

University Oval.

So I saw the rugby with Edward yesterday at the place that we were constantly reminded was the birthplace of Australian Rugby, University Oval No.1. It's the only game I make an effort to go and see as opposed to watching it on the ABC. You'd think it'd be some kind of conflict of emotions. Do I demonstrate my loyalty to my university or to my local team? Ha, fuck that. Eastwood all the way.

So the game started well. The Woodies were in the lead at the end of the first half and through the opening minutes of the second, but only by one point. A couple of penalties and tries later, USyd jumped ahead and took the game. Damn. In the saddening parts, like when USyd were gunning for tries or conversions, Edward and I discussed politics, Eurovision and ed psych. It took my mind off things.

Anyway, we'll trounce USyd at the Toohey's New Cup game in July.
