Let's play catch up.
I met some more of the boy's friends the other night (the boy, codename: N!xau). One of them, the queer one, struck me as being somehow familiar to me. He actually reminded me quite a lot of Andrew. And the freaky thing is that the two of them have probably met: Andrew used to work at the Greater Union cinema's that N!xau's friend does.
We saw The Life Aquatic at said cinema. I'm going to warn you now: I shall use a word that I absolutely hate because of the way it's been misused, misinterpreted and misapporpriated by the youth of today. The Life Aquatic was totally random. Quite nonsensical. What drugs were these people on? That said, it was pretty good. I loved it.
Anyway, I won't see the boy for a while, he's busy with all his political/community commitments. It's a wonder if he'll ever have any time for me. Incidentally, he referred to me as his boyfriend recently, while he was on the phone to a friend of his. My heart fluttered for a second there. No one has ever openly referred to me as their boyfriend before. Definitely a wow moment.
