Ed psych.

In the lecture today, the lecturer, in all seriousness, used the word guesstimate. I hate that word.

Anyway, so I've done a little more reading for my essay on anxiety and I've got to admit, it's actually getting interesting. I didn't set out thinking it would be, but the more I read, the more I realise that it reflects how I am personally. It's freaky. To directly quote one of my sources, I learn "less to begin with due to a massive skill deficit rendered more deadly by defensive posturing. Then what little [I do] learn [is] recalled later only imperfectly (retrieval deficit) because of intrusive worry during testing" (Covington, 1992).

Yeah I thought I'd stick the reference in there - wouldn't want to be done in for plagarism/academic misconduct, would we?
