Another rant about my father.
Dad's just left for work, swearing, carrying on and such. He's late of course. And he blames it all on mum. Mum's staying with us tonight (yeah I know, my family is beyond dysfunctional) and she often wonders how dad ever makes it work on time when she's not here.
Usually he'll get to work on time but for some reason, whenever mum's over at our place he assigns all blame to her for his sudden lack of punctuality. I don't see how she would affect things in anyway - she stays out of his way while he's getting ready for work, much like she does when she's not here.
So mum's doing her own thing and as predicted, dad's running late. He's swearing and carrying on and says she's lazy and doesn't help him out. The thing is, she's not usually around to 'help' him out and I know for a fact that he can manage without her. So what, suddenly she's here and now dad's tardiness is her problem? What a cop out.
See, I've noticed my dad often likes to absolve himself of responsibility. And it shits Mum and I to no end. It's always her or I that cop it.
In related news, I still want to move out or live with mum.
