MX & SX.

You'd think that SX and MX would be similar publications, wouldn't you? S stands for Sydney and M stands for Melbourne, right?

I'm probably the last person to notice this, but fuck me dead, they couldn't be any more different. MX is apparently Melbourne's uber trendy daily lifestyle newspaper and its nomenclatural equivalent up here in Sydney, SX, is a queer news/culture/lifestyle mag.

I was just thinking: woe betide a middle-aged ex-Melburnian getting the train to work in Sydney and picking up a copy of the local SX. Or an ex-Sydneysider picking up an MX hoping to see this week's cover spunk. Many a red face to be had. Heh.

No wait, do ex-Sydneysiders exist? Didn't think anyone would want to leave.
