Day one, year two.

Although I could pretend to be a blasé second-year student, I won't. I'll admit though, the novelty of coming back to uni hasn't worn off yet. But the only thing that I really enjoyed about coming back was the chicken schnitzel, chips and gravy from timeforchicken at the Wentworth Building.

Simon and I played second-year tossers and picked out and perved on the newbies. I missed Simon, with the sun-drenched aura that he brings up with him from The Shire every day. And all the innuendo, too. Sometimes we'd say things totally innocently but because of my gayness we'd notice all the possible double entendres and have a laugh. He's lots of fun. And all the girls say the good ones are gay or taken - bah, not true. We're in some of the same classes this semester and even a chemistry lab session which should be fun.

We also heard from Not-so-sure Dave1 at lunch but we haven't seen him yet. Don't think uni would be the same without him.

1 So called because Simon reckoned that he was gay - apparently all the signs are there: flamboyant interest in performing arts (and camp performances in Theatresports), fashion sense and his background in an exclusive all-boys boarding school.

Anyway, just going to show how much of a nerd I am, I bought a T-shirt from Physoc, the Physics Society. It's a Che Guevara-esque top: red and a stencil portrait on the chest - except the face depicted is that of Albert Einstein. See, 2005 is the International Year of Physics and celebrates a hundred years since Einstein published his paper on the Photoelectric Effect (amongst other things) - paving the way for quantum theory, hence "100 years since the revolution" (get it?!).
