South of the border...

...down Mexico way. I'm heading down to Melbourne for the weekend so that should be fun. Adam, Ray and I are leaving Sydney Terminal tomorrow night on the overnight XPT and getting into Spencer Street at around 7.30am. Methinks I won't be getting much sleep - but it's all good.

I'm not all that sure what we'll be doing down there though - go to a few pubs and bars maybe, do the touristy thing. I'm looking forward to seeing the St Kilda Festival.

Anyway, so we're staying at the YHA. My cousin Mark, who's done this all before, gave me the heads up: the place may smell like crotch, use thongs in the shower and don't expect to get a sleep in - the cleaners waft in during the early hours, regardless of what sleeping or clothed state you're in.

All the fun should come to a close on Monday, though. We're flying back, VirginBlue style and getting into SYD sometime before midday - in time for Adam to catch up with Steph for Valentines Day. Too bad I have no one to spend Valentines Day with. Fuck all that rhetoric about it being overly commercial - I want a hug, a kiss and various other things, dammit!
