Darren.
So it appears that boy-that-I-was-involved-with Darren stumbled across this here blog. I mean, he knew about 'In Another Life' when we started seeing each other and since then, he'd abstained from hitting it up. Until last night.
A few weeks ago we stopped seeing each other - it wasn't any sort of sanctioned stoppage. Going on what I knew, he had a few issues to sort out with something or another and I left him alone for a while. Well that while has turned into a few weeks with no word from him (nor from myself, admittedly) and it all sort of just lapsed.
Then after weeks of nothing (and on the night of the ill-fated blind date), I get a message: I miss you. A part of me thought that it was too little, too late. But I wanted to see him again. I mean I like him, he's a great bloke and maybe I do care a little bit about him too.
But last night, he decides that he might catch up on the happenings in my world and drops a line straight to this blog. I'm not entirely sure of what he read, but I'm guessing it's either the blind date entries or my previous mentions of him.
None the less, he told me that he was disappointed in me and us. He said to me that whatever he read was 'understandable' given the circumstances in a self-deprecating sort of way.
If indeed the bit that upset him was the blind date thing, would that amount to some sort of betrayal? I mean, nothing really happened - it was a couple of drinks down at the pub. But I guess there was intent to those drinks, to the meeting. Maybe my calling it a blind date didn't help things.
See now I want to see him, Darren. Badly.
In other news, my I've made my autumn mix-CD!
