Aside from all the crappy things that the Federal Howard Government has done over the last eight years, I'm quite happy - nay proud - about Australia's increased A$1 billion (US$800 million) aid donation in light of the recent natural disaster. For once, I agree with the way the Government has spent taxpayer's dollars.

Just quietly, I note that the evil ones (a.k.a FoxNews) make no mention of this. The closest they get to it is this: "U.S. Will 'Probably' Increase Aid Later". Hmm, how curious.



In other news, Guy Sebastian, Australian Idol 2003, sang at the 2005 Deaflympics in Melbourne. Apparently while he sang his signature tunes All I Need Is You and Angels Brought Me Here, the choir held up signs with the lyrics plastered on them.
